Between 2010 and 2013, I taught at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa in the Departments of History, Kinesiology, and Women’s Studies. I also worked for four years as a teaching assistant at Carleton University while completing my Masters and PhD. I received a Bachelor of Education from Trent University in 2007.

From my years as a teacher candidate, teaching assistant, and university instructor, I have experience developing and adapting curriculum. I also have logged many hours in the classroom, teaching courses with anywhere from 10 to 110 students in a range of fields including women’s and gender studies, environmental history, and kinesiology.

As part of my work with the NWTRPA, I teach for the School of Community Government in the Recreation Leaders Certificate Program. I also instruct Paddle Canada and Red Cross First Aid courses.
